PROCEEDINGS VOLUME 5785. As the deployment of IR sensors increases in the military arena, so does the need for testing, calibration and training in realistic infrared environments.
PROCEEDINGS VOLUME 5785. Volume Number: 5785 Date Published: 20 May 2005. This paper introduces liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) technology and discusses key elements required to successfully transition these displays to the infrared.
PROCEEDINGS VOLUME 8707. Technologies for Synthetic Environments: XVIII. We report on the design and testing of a 2-color dynamic scene projector system based on the MIRAGE-XL infrared scene projector. The system is based on the optical combination of two 1024x1024 MIRAGE-XL resistive arrays.

A scene-projector system is desired that can project dynamic JR imagery on a shoot through screen: either self healing or cheap to replace. Figure 3 shows a projector concept based on our previous work in HWIL JR scene projectors. 2 Each mirror can be tilted individually in response to input video signal, with the result that radiation can be directed either to pass through the projection system to the screen, or to miss the aperture of projection system.
