I have enjoyed this calendar - a lot. I have saved so many of the pages to look at again. Naturally some pages spoke to me more than others, and there were some real gems in there. I am sad that she is not putting one out again next year; I will miss having having it to anticipate.

I was able to track down a brand new 2012 calendar at a fairly reasonable price, so will use that next year folding over the pages instead of tearing them.

Loved this calendar.

I loved the book, and I enjoy the page-a-day calendar which reminds me of the key points in the book. The only thing I would change is to keep each page to one sentence. Some pages have entire paragraphs/long lists of bullet points in small font which is not suitable for a page-a-day format. It stresses me out to read so much in the few seconds I have in the morning while I'm getting ready! So Gretchen please make another page-a-day calendar next year, but just keep it to 10 words or less per page. Thanks!

I've read Gretchen's books and her blog so decided to give the calendar a try. There is nothing in here that isn't already in the book. The calendar has the advantage of giving you a daily dose of Happiness ideas and keeping your own personal happiness project in mind. However I found little new or exciting here that wasn't already in the book/blog.

Looks like author had some success with her book - but my husband and I found her daily 'inspiration' rather childishly naive. Probably great for the simplistic life of a tween or teen - but as mature adults who have had several gratitude/happiness-type journals, we were surprised at the lack of substance in this product.

Whoever wrote the product description had quite an optimistic imagination - "novel" perhaps; "life-changing approach," "engaging and effective tips," etc ... um, not so much.

Also, for $34 we certainly expected something more substantial than a small tablet of flimsy dated pages on thin yellow plastic.

We think just keeping Abraham Lincoln's wisdom in mind would be just as effective: "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

Three stars for concept.
One star for implementation.
Unfortunately, only a 2-star rating.
Wish we could have rated higher.

I don't like this calendar, a friend ordered this but she was really disappointed, she wasn't happy at all. The messages aren't quite inspired.

I really enjoyed this calendar. I liked the daily reminders of the main points from the book. It is really meant to be used after having read the book; otherwise, many pages may not make sense. Another reviewer mentioned that she was embarrassed to have others see the calendar. I had ours displayed in our entryway for us to see each day upon leaving or returning home; it was a great reminder of the key points in the book. We were in no way ashamed of the calendar ... it made us happy so why overthink what others may think over something so trivial? It actually seemed to be a great conversational piece for those that visited, and quite a few visitors actually read the book afterwards! I'd think being embarrassed by a calendar would be the complete opposite of the Happiness Project. Anyway, I was looking for a 2013 calendar, and I'm disappointed that there isn't one. Oh well, hoping for 2014!
