The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), founded in 1978, is an association of evangelical Protestant Christian schools. ACSI is a Protestant association for Christian schools. Its stated mission is to strengthen Christian schools and equip Christian educators worldwide as they prepare students academically and inspire them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ. It supports the belief that Scripture is the revealed Word of God and should be taught as truth.

In addition to providing a spiritual refuge for children K-12 in Barrington, the school is attended by international students from South Korea, China, and Vietnam. International students also attend the school, but they must provide for their own living arrangements with a Christian family.
