Although it saddens me that the author is no longer with us, Stuart Kaminsky, I still re-read his Toby Peters series because I love old Hollywood and Kaminsky wrote so darn well. I have the whole Toby Peters set, got the rest of the books after Mr. Kaminsky died. The series is great!

These novels are all honest books, each is amusing, remeniscent of the times and a reasonable if improbable solution is always arrived at again in an amusing manner. Good characters although I would like to see the hero rewarded in a better manner monetarilly wise they are good light reading. Interesting author.

Scream_I LOVE YOU
Stuart Kaminsky's writing was clear, crisp and best of all entertaining. His characters were logical, meaning that they did and said things the reader could actually believe happened. The Fala Factor is a good example of this and although Mr. Kaminsky is gone his writing is still timely especially the Toby Peters series set in a bygone era that the reader is transported back to with great reality.

Fala, as you know or should know, was the dog of President Roosevelt. This is a small story about the disappearance of Fala from the White House and the political consequences it might have.
Easy read for kids.
Do you know that 60 years later, there are still souvenirs of Fala sold at the museum of Warm Springs in Georgia?

I love the Toby Peters series. This volume, however, doesn't rate at the top of the list. While the stories in this series are always incredible, this one really reaches. But it doesn't quite get there. Read it anyway.
