This was the first Fern Michaels book I bought and read, and it did not fail to make me happy

This was the first Fern Michaels book I bought and read, and it did not fail to make me happy. I liked the simple, realistic flow of the story, and the chemistry between Jeff and Olivia. It was cute, to say the most.

She ditched the clothes and the dreadlocks in the filthy trash can before dressing in clean jeans, sweat shirt, and denim jacket. A dark blue wool hat covered her fashionable hairdo. A well written 2nd installment in the Texas series. We are updated on all the lives of the characters, but this book is a focus on Maggie and those living at Sunbridge. Maggie spent most of her life trying to get a little attention and love from her father, but never felt she measured up. She was left feeling that way until she finds out he left her the beloved home Sunbridge. She quickly moves back to Texas with son Cole in tow, and also invites Riley to learn about his history. Cole and Riley are rivals in every phase of life, but must learn to rely on each other as true family members. Maggie does alot of soul searching, and takes a hard look at the way she has lived her life.

Read all 4 Texas books. I liked them and liked the continuity of the family on through to the grandchildren. However, I had the feeling that they were rushed. I noticed typos and other little mistakes I had never seen in Fern Michaels books. One final proofreading woud have helped me to enjoy them more.

I was looking forward to reading this book and I was let down.
Way too much repetitiveness. The last part was better than the first part, I skipped the middle because it was dragging.

Another best seller of Fern Michaels. The twist and turns in this book, kept me on the edge of my chair. I couldn't sleep, I didn't want to put it down. She has the right balance and style. Fern does an excellent job keeping every detail and does a great job researching the materials for real life places. I am so impressed with all her books so far 18 in total, in three months. This is a must read if you are a Fern Michaels fan and if you never read one of her books, read this one and I bet you will be ordering more.

Loved this book as much as book one of the series. The characters are so well developed and their stories continue with the younger members of the family. The storyline is a real page Turner. I can't wait to read book 3. I highly recommend the Texas series.
