Book V. Dear Reader, My career as an author began in a very different way from most authors. I didn’t submit my books to agents or publishers; I self-published them under the umbrella of a small press I created, Breakneck Books. With each book release, I got feedback from readers, both good and bad, and used the critiques to improve my writing.

Jeremy Robinson is the bestselling author of Antarktos Rising, The Didymus Contingency and Raising the Past. As usual, Jeremy Robinson's book Kronos was fantastic. Full of adventure, mystery, and relatable character's. A must read from beginning to end!

I love Jeremy Robinson's style. Kronos had me on the edge of my seat. The good were flawed. The bad were despicable

I love Jeremy Robinson's style. The bad were despicable. The monster had me not wishing to go in the sea for a while. The twist was not what I expected.

Kronos Jeremy Robinson The ocean is as vast as it is mysterious, and man’s desire to venture to its depths to uncover its bounty rarely fades from the forefront of our imaginations. And it is through science and understanding that the finest results will be achieved, not through the dredging, overfishing and exploitation of the world’s finest resource. The ocean is as vast as it is mysterious, and man’s desire to venture to its depths to uncover its bounty rarely fades from the forefront of our imaginations.

Steve Alten, New York Times best-selling author of MEG & The LOCH Jeremy Robinson peers into the deep. What lurks there is timeless, yet as old as the sea. The fear that dwells in men’s hearts has a face and it has come to the surface. Stel Pavlou, International Bestselling author of DECIPHER and GENE KRONOS takes a classic theme and turns it into a great page-turning novel that kept me up past the midnight hour

He could see Atticus pulling himself through one of the lexan viewing ports eck, reached down, and pulled a long knife from a sheath attached to his belt. Oh hell, Trevor whispered to himself. He had no illusions about what Atticus could accomplish with the single blade. And he felt sure that the instrument of death would find him first if the attack on Kronos persisted.

But the beauty of the sea belies a terror from the deep - a horrific creature as immense as it is ancient. There is no blood, no scream, no fight. Giona is swallowed whole by the massive jaws. Only Atticus remains to suffer the shame of the survivor and his inconsolable grief turns to an unquenchable thirst for revenge.Drawn by the spectacle, Trevor Manfred, a ruthless billionaire, approaches Atticus with a proposition: Trevor will make available all the advanced technology of his heavilly armed mega-yacht, the Titan, to aid Atticus in his death-quest. In return, Trevor is to receive the the beast's corpse as the ultimate hunting trophy. But in the midst of the hunt, Atticus makes a terrifying discovery that changes the way he sees the ocean's creatures and begs the question: what is Kronos? The answer sets him on a new and much more deadly course.

The characters: Atticus, an ex-Navy SEAL, now a widowed marine biologist; his daughter, Giona; an ex-girlfriend Coast Guard rescuer named Andrea; Manfred, a very evil man; his brutish henchman; and a fake priest. Plus miscellaneous peripheral characters.

The story starts with Atticus on the beach in a contemplative mood. It quickly moves to his daughter, in town and in trouble. Dad rescues daughter with a little humor thrown in. Then we are diving with whales. During the dive the daughter gets eaten by a sea monster. Atticus ascends too quickly, dies on his boat after broadcasting an SOS. He is rescued by his ex-girlfriend and wakes in the hospital. Enraged over his daughter’s death, he vows vengeance against the monster and teams up with the evil Manfred. From there it is battles with the monster and battles with Manfred and his henchman. Atticus and Andrea get help from several unexpected sources.

Atticus realizes his rage is out of place but is unable to chance course without outside assistance. The sea monster is a surprise and through Atticus’ interaction with it, he is brought back to his marine biologist values. Of course Manfred doesn’t like this and chaos ensues.

This book poses several questions of Biblical proportions. I don’t know if Jeremy is working out his questions or sharing his beliefs, but the questions and discussions in this book, and his others, help focus me to review what my beliefs are.
Overall this is a great adventure book with surprising twists and wonderful characters. I was reading it during finals week and had a hard time putting it down. Don’t be afraid of the issues about God that are raised in this book. Everyone has a belief system that is reflected in all they do. I find Jeremy’s thought provoking and stimulating.

I am a fan of Jeremy Robinson as well as his other alises. There are ample descriptions of this work all over the Amazon reviews. I like third person stories. Roibinson has an excellent talent for storytelling. By that I mean that he paints a background, and describes the components just enough to allow the reader to visualize for himself and make connections. This was an older work, but I bought it on a whim. A great Jonah and the whale sort of story, and it was well told. Believable characters, great villians, and a heroic main character. All the components are brought together in outstanding proportions and at a very comfotable pace.

Former Navy Seal and now oceanographer Atticus Young and his daughter, Giona, are on a dive off the coast of New Hampshire when the unthinkable happens, Giona is taken from him right in front of his eyes by what appears to be the largest whale to ever swim the oceans. Atticus himself also suffers some very serious injuries, lucky for him there is a Coast Guard Cutter near by. The first person on the seen just happens to be a long ago sweetheart from Atticus's younger days named Andrea. Still trying to cope with the loss of his wife and now with what just happened to Giona, Atticus brings back his Seal mentality and vows revenge on the mighty beast of the deep. After seeing the news cast of the incident Trevor Manfred, an accentric billionaire invites Atticus aboard his yacht named the Titan, which is the size of some war ships and easily the most luxurious vessel on the seas, to go after and extract revenge on this monster. From here the action and adventure part of the book really shine. We find out that the Titan is much more than just a mega yacht, as it is packed full of surprises. If you are a fan of James Rollins or Clive Cussler then you should enjoy Kronos as well. The book is fast moving and Atticus is a likable character. Overall it was just a fun book to read.

I have been reading a lot of Mr. Robinsons book and I have loved all of them. I was surprised to see some low star reviews, but I wasn't about to not read a book because of that. I really enjoyed this novel! As a dad of a daughter, I know what it feels like to do anything for your little girl. I just finished it a few minutes ago. Now time to read some more Chess Team!!

I really enjoy most of Mr. Robinsons work. As a maqtter of fact, this is my first three star rating for him, all the others have been a five. I found this to "drag" somewhat and had to force myself to continue reading. It did not keep me on the edge-of-my-seat by any means. Again, I highly recommend Mr. Robinson's other works, this one was just not as good.

Going in, I figured I was getting ready for either a Peter Benchley knockoff or another of Robinson's (awesome) kaiju thrillers. This is neither.

A completely original tale, Robinson managed to pull together the best of military thrillers, horror, a bit of sci-fi and a whole lot of action. This was a fantastic book! I hope you enjoy it!

When I read this book I had to swallow some major assumptions about marine anatomy of any known sea creatures, once able to get past that larg piece of "chum", Jeremy Robinsons strong story telling skills held me through to the end, which was somewhat weaker than some of his other stories.

Essentially it is a story of the love of a father for his daughter and the lengths he is willing to go to to rescue her. Check your rational belief system at the door though, or you'll not be able to swallow the tale, or is that tail?
