As telling to day as it was then, timely when you look at the rise of Hitler and their comparable rise of presidential candidates who don't see the consequences of electing leaders who are not committed to accomidation and reconciliation in our world.

Tillich thought that I am the Second Coming of Christ. You can read this extraordinary story in my book What Rough Beast by Robert Dole, published by Austin Macauley.

Paul Tillich is perhaps the foremost Protestant theologian of the 20th century. Philosophy of Religion is his method in approaching philosophy and theology. However, through the method he presents a message of faith that is clearly grounded in Protestant Christianity. For those put off by philosophy, I recommend reading Tillich's more conversational, and no less engaging, collections of sermons, such as those contained in this title. Tillich was invited by the Allies to prepare these radio messages to accomplish spiritual and political goals. The issues addressed then are not unlike those facing governments, societies, and private citizens today. I recommend them for your reading and consideration.
