In the Library - eResources and other. The Anglican parishes of the Canberra-Goulburn area were initially part of the Diocese of Sydney. In 1863 a separate diocese of Goulburn was formed and in 1950 became the Diocese of Canberra-Goulburn. The Diocese includes 59 parishes.

Until 1989, it also administered the Jervis Bay Territory, a small coastal region.

Curtin is a suburb in Canberra, Australia, part of the Woden Valley district; its postcode is 2605. Curtin is named after John Curtin, Australian Prime Minister between 1941 and 1945. Its streets are named after state premiers. It is next to the suburbs of Yarralumla, Deakin, Hughes, Lyons and Weston. It is bounded by the Cotter Road, Tuggeranong Parkway, Yarra Glen and a green strip between it and Lyons to the south.

The city of Canberra developed and expanded to accommodate the Australian federal government, while the surrounding area has been developed to support the city, including the construction of dams, the establishment of plantation forests and the creation of protected areas. Joseph Wild was employed by Brigade Major John Ovens and Captain Mark Currie in 1823 to guide them to the Murrumbidgee.
