Excellent book. Arrived promply in the condition as the seller describled it. Seeing pictures of sailors waiting at Great Lakes Training Center to catch the North Shore brought back memories to me. In 1962 I was at Great Lakes going through boot camp and I took the North Shore to Milwaukee for "Boot Liberty" where I meet my wife at the USO.

. . . this book wasn't for me. My father-in-law IS from Chicago AND he loves trains. This book will be his Christmas present. The pictures are clear and since I love old pictures, I do like that about it, but I can't vouch for authenticity.
