My daughter just had to have this book. She "read" the whole thing in one day so it's safe to assume one of a few things :
A. It sucks
B. It doesn't go too deep or have many plot twists
C. She can't really read
D. It was so awesome that she couldn't put it down.

Which do you think it was?

It's hard for me to make a final decision on this book. You see, this is a fiction work but I know the real rose fairy. She was nothing like she is portrayed in this book. She battled with addiction for years and had 6 failed marriages. All of her children but one disowned her and had deep rooted issues based on her always being at work doing fairy related actions. Ella just couldn't handle the demands of being a fairy. She was thrust into the job and wasn't prepared for what she encountered. She is currently at a rehab clinic in Arizona writing her memoirs and getting a handle on her life.

I am proud of all she has overcome.

I guess I am so detailed in this review because Ella the rose fairy is very special to me.

You see, she is my mother and I am the one child who stayed with her to support her!

All of that aside, this work of fiction stands alone as one of the all time greatest pieces of children's literature since captain underpants.

I don't quite get why these books are so popular, but it sure keeps my daughter interested in reading. To her, it's quite addictive. She reads other books in the Rainbow Magic series daily. The book is well worth it as it keeps my daughter interested in reading.

My granddaughter's name is Ella. I am saving this book for her for a couple of years, when I am sure she will enjoy hearing this story. My Ella just celebrated her first birthday! :)
