My friend just had her 3rd girl, and I wanted to get a gift for all three children, as adding another child creates stress for the children as well. I got this book and 3 different colored bears so they could each have one. It's a great story about how a mother and father love all of their children despite their differences! Super cute. :)

This book is really amazing. The illustrations are lovely. It really explains in simple terms to a child how they can each be called Mommy's "Favorite". I think this is such an important concept for children with siblings. They wonder where they fit in the family and if someone else is loved more by Mom or Dad. All of my children enjoy this story and we've been reading it for years. It is a very sweet story and I highlight recommend it to everyone. One of my cousins just had a baby and I sent it as a present for the new big brother who's been feeling a bit jealous. I hope you enjoy!

I include this as one of the standard packet of books that I give to couples expecting a baby. If the expected arrival has an older sibling or siblings I expecially present it to them lest they think Mom 'n Dad prever their younger/youngest sibling. It is so easy to feel left out when the adults are fussing over a new baby that those grown ups should make it a point to fuss instead over the children already there.

My kids remember a standing family joke. When asked which was our favorite child my wife and I always named the dog. To this date it gets a chuckle or too. Maybe this book helped get the message across that all your children are your favorites...except for the dog, of course.

Sweet illustrations. I have given it to several families who have had their 3rd child. It is reassuring to children that even though they are different from each other the love their parents have for them is the same.

The sweetest thing. The art captivated me immediately and the story is suitable for all children who have siblings and might think their parents can pick a favorite. Gentle and adorable. We can almost hear their voices. So glad it's not another forced rhyming book.

I read this one at the library and had to get it for my three kids. A great story. I didn't really need the CD, but I'm sure it'll end up coming in handy while I make dinner or something. It's a gift for my kids so we haven't listened yet.
