Simon studied at the Budapest Technical University (1954-56) and Pennsylvania State University in University Park (1957-58). Since 1968 Simon has worked at Beloit College, Wisconsin. Previously he was a visiting artist at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an artist-in-residence at the University of Delaware, Newark.
