Let me say that there is no new ground covered with this book, but it is a wonderful addition for Rockwell memorabilia collectors, as am I. The vast majority of the plates in the book are in color. The colors rendered are bright and clear, and as always a delight to behold for those of us looking for Norman Rockwell's depiction of American life in a way that may not have ever really existed, yet we all wish did.
Norman Rockwell's pictures are important, well done, an important book of art for all of us Americans. People in their 80s will be able to reminisce about the 40s: looking at the pictures will help us all remember that bitter war. One person found this helpful. Superb, specially for me, fan about anything from Norman Rockwell.
